The EAGLE supervises the arresting force and assistance in the conduction of sting operations, the arrest of wildlife law violators with sufficient evidence and the channelling of offense statement to the courts.
The EAGLE team is present in the field at all levels of the operation, monitoring activities and paying special attention to identifying obstacles and preventing corruption attempts. It is very important that arrests are planned in the act so that the perpetrators’ guilt is not in doubt.
A large part of the work of EAGLE’s activists is in fighting corruption – we detect corruption in 85% of our arrest operations. We are not just detecting corruption, our role is to fight these corruption attempts in real-time.
